‘QOOK&SHOW’ 는 휴대폰 하나로 이동전화(WCDMA)와 와이파이(WiFi)를 동시에 사용할 수 있는 유무선 통합(FMC - Fixed Mobile Convergence)서비스를 말한다.
KT(회장 이석채)는 오는 12월중순까지 20미터 대형 트레일러 체험 차량을 통해, ‘QOOK&SHOW’의 혁신적 기능과 통신요금 절감 방법 등을 고객이 직접 체험할 수 있는 이벤트를 실시할 예정이다.
이번 행사는 가을 축제가 열리는 충남대, 아주대, 세종대, 한양대 전국 주요 대학과 서울랜드, 부산 서면 롯데백화점, 일산 라페스타, 서울 M타워, 용산 아이파크몰 등 도심 거점지역과 스키장에서 오후 12시부터 6시까지 총 14회에 걸쳐 진행된다. 체험을 원하는 고객은 아무 조건 없이 체험장에 오면 ‘QOOK&SHOW’ 서비스로 휴대폰을 통해 인터넷 전화와 무선 인터넷을 맘껏 체험할 수 있다.
이를 통해 기존 휴대폰 요금과 인터넷 전화 요금의 차이를 눈으로 직접 확인할 수 있으며, 고객이 얼마나 싸게 휴대폰을 이용할 수 있는지도 체험할 수 있다.
이번 프로모션의 핵심인 20m 대형트레일러 체험차량은 내부를 각각 침실, 거실, 서재, 화장실 등 4개의 공간으로 구분해 실제 집처럼 꾸몄으며 체험자는 실제 집에서 사는 것처럼 침대 위에 눕거나, 화장실 변기 위에 앉는 등 집과 똑같은 환경에서 서비스를 체험하게 된다.
또한 집 안에서 뿐만 아니라 집 밖의 캠퍼스, 커피숍 등 공개 AP가 설치되어 있는 곳이면 어디서든 집에서와 동일하게 인터넷 전화와 무선 인터넷을 무료로 즐길 수 있는 ‘QOOK&SHOW’서비스를 위해 차량 외부에도 실제 커피숍에 온 느낌이 들도록 체험카페를 구성했다.
행사에 참여하는 모든 고객들은 예쁜 쿡앤쇼 판촉물을 선물로 받을 수 있으며 행사 중간 중간에 고객 이벤트와 체험자 대상 응모 이벤트를 통해 디지털카메라, 영화관람권, 쇼 우산 등 푸짐한 경품도 받을 수 있다.
